Tunde Abiola's Summer Job

Tunde Abiola and I drove out to the house where he was supposed to paint.

We arrived on time and waited for his boss to show up with the paint that the owner of the house wanted to use.

Tunde got to get a little work done, but then it began to rain, causing his work to be delayed until the next day.

Tunde and I drove back to his house, where he said he need to paint a few things at home anyways so he showed me how paints at his house.

Maybe next time I will be more lucky and get to actually see Tunde Abiola on the job.

I am following up on my first story for this class by checking up on Tunde Abiola, who has gotten a painting job after the advice I gave him about getting a summer job. 

I will be getting up in the morning to shadow Tunde on his day at work. 

He will be going to a house that his boss has told him to go to that is about ten minutes from where he lives. 

His boss has given him precise instructions on what to do when he gets there. 

It should be an interesting day, however rain is in the forecast, so he might not be able to paint at all. 

Cleveland Indians @ Detroit Tigers

Two solo home runs from Torii Hunter in the second inning and Miguel Cabrera in the fourth inning give the Detroit Tigers a 2-1 edge against the Cleveland Indians this afternoon. 

Anibal Sanchez won player of the game honors after pitching seven and two-thirds innings, with six hits allowed, one earned run, no walks, and seven strikeouts. 

The Tigers led for the whole game, but it didn't come without a late surge from the Cleveland Indians in the eighth.

David Murphy hit a home run to lead off the eighth that just squeezed over the right field wall. 

The Tigers let Sanchez continue pitching after that put took him out after giving up a single from Asdrubal Cabrera with two outs in the eighth. 

Al Alburquerque came on to get the final out in the eighth, forcing Michael Brantley to ground out to second. 

The Indians couldn't muster up anything in the ninth against Joe Nathan, who looked sharp closing the game out to give the Tigers their 58th win of the season. 

The Tigers take a 8.5 game lead over the Indians in the AL Central. While the Indians fall to under .500 with a 47-48 record.

The All-Star weekend is over and players have had their fun.

Players should be well rested and ready to get back to the task at hand.

Which brings us to Detroit, Michigan, where the Cleveland Indians are in town.

The Tigers (53-38) are currently 7.5 games ahead of the Indians (47-47) in the AL Central.

The projected starters for the game are Trevor Bauer (3-4) and Anibal Sanchez (6-3).
